Singles Camp in Southern California
After 8 months of preparation, the first Southern California Singles Camp was successfully held at our church on August 13-14, 2022. A total of 36 single brothers, sisters and friends from Southern California, Northern California and other areas participated in the camp. During the various activities, they exchanged ideas and learned from each other. The candlelight dating session with one-on-one conversations between men and women brought the camp to its peak. Thanks to the Lord's grace, 19 co-workers were prepared for the camp to serve in various positions to help the camp run smoothly. We hope that through the opportunity of this singles camp, more single brothers and sisters will be able to enhance their understanding of marriage and love, meet their desired partners, and prepare for the formation of Christian families in the future.
經過8個月的籌備，首屆南加州單身營會於2022年8月13-14日在本教會成功舉辦。來自南加州、北加州以及其他地區的單身弟兄姐妹和朋友們共36人參與了本次營會。在豐富多彩的各樣活動環節中，大家彼此交流彼此認識彼此學習。在燭光約會的男女一對一快談時段，更是把營會推向了高峰。感謝主的恩典，為營會預備了19位服事的同工，在各個崗位上幫助營會的順利進行。盼望藉著這次單身營會的機會，讓更多的單身弟兄姐妹能夠提升對婚姻戀愛的認識，遇見心儀的對象，並為未來組建基督化的家庭做好準備。
Baptism and Membership Transfer on Easter Day 2022
Thanks to the Lord's grace, on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, the church baptized 10 brothers and sisters and received 8 brothers and sisters transferring membership to the church. Many families, relatives and friends came together to witness this wonderful moment. It was a day of thanksgiving and the number of church members increased a lot. Hope that we can continue to work with God in the Great Commission of preaching the Gospel and building and expanding the Lord's Church.
感謝主的恩典，在2022年4月17日復活節當天的主日禮拜中，教會為10位弟兄姐妹施行洗禮，同時接受了8位弟兄姐妹轉會加入教會。現場有許多家人、親朋一起來觀禮，見證這個美好的時刻。這是要感恩的日子，教會的會員人數增加了不少。盼望我們能在傳揚福音的大使命上繼續與神同工，建立和擴展主的教會。
Appointment of Assistant Pastor Bin Ni
Thanks to the Lord's guidance, due to the need of church ministry development, the church appointed Brother Bin (Bruce) Ni as a part-time Assistant Pastor starting January 1, 2022. After five months of co-working, the church council approved Brother Ni's diligent, serious and godly ministry and decided to turn him into a full-time Assistant Pastor as of June 1, 2022.
Born in 1985 in Zhejiang Province, China, Pastor Bin Ni graduated from Zhejiang University in 2007 with a B.A. in Management and came to study in the U.S. in 2018, earning his M.A. in Family Ministry from Logos Evangelical Seminary in May 2021. He has worked in Chinese and US/European companies in Hangzhou and Shanghai and has experience in workplace ministry, as well as in written media and singles ministry. He is married to Sister Huiyuan Song, and they have translated Christian books in family ministry area together.
感謝主的帶領，因著教會事工拓展的需要，教會自2022年1月1日起聘任倪斌弟兄作部分時間傳道。經過5個月的同工，教會理事會認可倪傳道勤勉、認真而敬虔的服事，決定自2022年6月1日起將其轉為全時間傳道。
倪斌傳道，男，已婚，於1985年出生於中國浙江。2007年畢業於浙江大學，獲管理學學士學位。2018年來美學習，2021年5月獲得正道福音神學院的家庭事工碩士學位。倪傳道曾在杭州和上海的中國和歐美企業工作，有職場帶職服事的經驗，也曾參與文字媒體事工和單身事工的服事。曾与妻子宋慧媛姐妹，共同翻譯了基督教家庭事工领域的書籍。
感谢主！2021年11月6号对我们教会是一个特别的日子，教会按立三位长老（Derek Turpin, Mark Grunow, Jennie Andrews）和一位执事(Mei Ling Li Grunow)，一共邀请了六位牧师参加按立团，同时，也有许多的牧师朋友、亲戚、朋友、家人一起观礼，感谢主！让我们这个小小的教会办成一件大事，上帝照着祂的信实应允了我们卑微的呼求，神透过教会设立核心同工，为广传福音打下一个坚实的基础。我们恳请您一起同来敬拜上帝，齐来宣扬神的救恩！求上帝亲自兴旺主的教会！
Thanks be to God! November 6, 2021 is a special day for our church. The church ordained three elders (Derek Turpin, Mark Grunow, Jennie Andrews) and a deacon (Mei Ling Li Grunow), and a total of six pastors were invited to attend the ordination ceremony. At the same time, there are many pastors, friends, relatives, and family members attending the ceremony. Thank the Lord! Let our small church accomplish a great event. God has answered our humble cry according to his faithfulness. God has established core co-workers through the church to lay a solid foundation for the spread of the gospel. We sincerely invite you to join us in worshiping God and proclaiming God’s salvation! Pray for God to prosper the Lord's church personally!
“感谢主！因祂有说不尽的恩赐! (林后9：15) ” 11月22日礼拜天教会在草坪上举行了感恩节的崇拜，我们同时也通过网络直播给不能前来教会出席的肢体，王嘉理牧师分享了“成为感恩的人群”的信息，王牧师代表教会主持了卢乾坤牧师和马迈克牧师的授职仪式，并宣布了退休的消息。随后，我们通过了教会新的宪章。本次崇拜共有41人参加，中午大家一起在教会享受丰盛的爱筵！感谢主！教会在神的恩典中日见兴旺，人数比疫情前翻倍了！一位肢体在群里说：“今天我的心非常的感动和充满了希望，当看到这么多第一次见面的家人们同心合力的忙前忙后，准备食物，清洁桌椅，同心崇拜。我相信神真的在做工了，神听随了我们的祷告，兴旺了他的产业，振兴着他的教会，为我们家人带来了彼此相爱，彼此信任的信心，愿神与毎一位家人常常同在，阿们！”
“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” (2 Cor. 9:15) On November 22nd, the church held a Thanksgiving worship service on the lawn. We also broadcast live to the members who could not come to the church. Pastor Charlie Wang shared the message of “Becoming a grateful community”, hosted the Installation of Two Pastors (Rev. Qiankun Lu, and Rev. Michael Ma), and announced his retirement. After that, we passed the new constitution and bylaws of the church. There were altogether 41 people attended this worship, and everyone enjoyed a rich love feast at the church at noon! Thank God! The church is prospering day by day in God's grace, and the number of church members has doubled before the pandemic! A church member said in the group: "Today, my heart is very moved and full of hope. After seeing so many family members who have met for the first time working together, prepare food, clean tables and chairs, and worship together. I believe that God is really at work. God has listened to our prayers, prospered his inheritance, revitalized his church, and brought faith to our church to love and trust each other. May God be with every member, and the church family is always with you as well, amen!"
The Personal Worship Series of Small Videos have been Widely Welcomed
Beginning in July, the personal worship series of small videos jointly launched by Pastor Lu and Mr. Derek Turpin were widely welcomed. The first video "my peace" was launched on the WeChat short video platform and has reached 100,000 views on August 13. It has received 3177 likes and has left 104 comments. Other short videos have also been widely reposted and praised. For this, we offer our sincere gratitude and praise to the Lord! God always shows his strength in our weakness. Because in this turbulent world, we truly need heavenly peace from the Lord Jesus! This world cannot give us the peace of the Lord. This peace brings us hope. This peace enables us to live in this world with strength and confidence. We give all the glory to God the Father sitting in the sky! We will continue this ministry and share the gospel with more people. May Lord bless! Lord have mercy! Please also pray for this ministry! Thank you!
七月份开始，卢牧师和Derek合作推出的个人敬拜系列的小视频一经推出，受到广泛的欢迎，其中第一个视频“my peace”在微信短视频平台推出之后，点击量已经达到十万，收获3177个点赞，留下104条评语。其他的短视频也同样获得广泛的转发与好评，我们为此向主献上真挚的感恩和赞美！神总是在我们的软弱上显出祂的刚强。因为这个动荡不安的世界里，我们真实地需要从主耶稣而来的平安！这平安世界不能给，这平安带给我们盼望，这平安使我们满有力量和信心地活在这个世上，我们将一切的荣耀归给坐在天上的父神！我们仍然会继续这个事工，将福音分享给更多的人群，求主祝福！求主怜悯！也恳请大家为这项事工献上代祷！谢谢！
First “Family Time” in Our Church after Pandemic Home Stay
On Saturday, June 27, 2020, after more than three months of isolation at home during the pandemic time, our church was reopened today. All three pastors and directors of the church and other brothers and sisters participated in this wonderful fellowship in Christ. We join this kind of gathering for music practicing, singing hymns, praying, fellowship time, gardening, haircutting, hiking, lunch, an appointment with anyone or with the pastors, offering, and for anything of a Christian family. We strictly follow the safety measure with masks and social distance. We continue to strengthen our online services and continue to develop “family time”. What a nice fellowship we have! May God bless our church always! May we thrive in the gospel of Christ Jesus, and share in the gospel from the first day until the day we meet Jesus.
2020年6月27日星期六，疫情期间在家中隔离三个多月之后，我们的教堂今天重新开放。 教会的三位牧师和以及其他弟兄姐妹都参加了在基督里的美好团契。 我们的团契活动包括诗歌排练，唱歌，祈祷，团契，园艺，理发，远足，午餐，与任何人或牧师约会，奉献或其他任何形式的聚会。 这是我们一个在基督里的团契时光，我们可以称其为教会的“家庭时间”。 我们将严格遵守安全措施，戴口罩和保持社交距离。 此外， 我们将继续加强网络在线礼拜。 感谢主赐给我们如此美好的团契！ 愿上帝保佑我们的教会！ 愿我们在基督耶稣里中茁壮成长，同心合意兴旺基督的福音。
