Easter Sunday Service
March 27, 2016 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Peace to you all!
Easter is a day of remembrance. We remember the resurrection and its meaning. We remember to let Jesus enter and dwell in all areas of our life. We turn our eyes from the cross to the empty tomb. That is the hope of our faith!
That is the meaning of Easter. It is the dawn of a new day, where hope is alive. Our God is alive! He is not dead! We serve a living God! Hallelujah! And we shall be with Him one day as we hold on to this hope. Jesus rose from the dead. He is not in the tomb. That should fill our hearts with joy. That is the Easter message that you and I should remember on this Easter day.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” – John 11:25-26
That’s what the resurrection does. It takes our fear, our worry, our hurt, our sadness…and it puts our lives into perspective.
To make this Easter truly meaningful, let all of us follow His command to spread His Gospel to the people in this community and the rest of the world. Which of your relatives, neighbors, and co-workers do you want to see come to Christ this Easter? People are more likely to be open to your invitation at Easter than at any other time of year. Don’t miss this once-a-year opportunity to invite them to our church service.
Immediately following our Easter service, there will be an Easter egg hunt for the children. Please join us after the Easter egg hunt for fun, food, and fellowship, at our annual Easter potluck.
Wishing you a joyous and blessed Easter!
Yours in Christ,
Greg Swift / President
